Class Descriptions
Nia Technique®
Nia is a Body-Mind-Spirit Fitness Program based on three arts: Dance Arts, Martial Arts, and Healing Arts. It combines nine unique movement forms that when integrated deliver a safe, effective cardiovascular workout with total body conditioning and personal growth benefits. Designed for all levels of fitness, Nia compliments Yoga, Pilates, running, weight lifting, boxing, and more! The music of Nia, eclectic and universal is a backdrop for self expression and exploration. The movements are adaptable and can be personalized for any level of fitness. No prior training is necessary. Everyone is welcome. Classes led by certified Nia Teachers.
DANCE Ecstatic
A movement practice designed to encourage the exploration of Space, Self and Other through movement and mindfulness. By blending improvised movement with the mental practice of meditation, the body/mind connection becomes the source for dance.
     The Practice requires no particular skill, training or facility in movement or dance. Rather it calls for curiosity, respect, honesty, and a little bit of courage to face the unknown.
 
Pilates
Total body workout set to music focusing on core strength and overall flexibility. Uses mats, bands, light weights, all provided
Zumba®
Latin dance inspired, easy-to-follow, calorie burning, fitness party.
Yoga
These classes are taught to all levels but are never competitive. Silence, acceptance, and awareness are used to relax the body and calm the mind.

Hatha Yoga
Focus is on alignment and understanding the poses with some flowing sequences. Excellent for beginners as well as those wanting to deepen their practice.

Yoga Flow
A more vigorous class incorporating standing Hatha poses in a flowing sequence, often moving on each breath before settling into longer holds for seated, floor or balancing poses. This is an "all levels" class.

Yoga Tai Chi
Yoga Flow class that also begins with Tai Chi Chi Gong and flows into Yoga.

 
Belly Dance
Build strength, flexibly, muscle control, posture and balance in a fun and supportive atmosphere! Learn to move your body in a new way - gain control of muscles and challenge your mind. All levels of experience welcomed! with Stacy Lizette.

Exotic Moves
Connect in a deeper way to the feminine YOU. Learn sexy dance moves, step drag walk, hip rolls and what to do with those arms! Soon you'll be putting it all together with confidence and ease in no time. All women are welcome.
Monday nights from 7-8 pm.
TranceDance - Spirit Dance
A healing shamanic practice of movement and rhythm. Bring a bandanna or a blindfold or borrow one of ours. See the schedule for dates.
